Our health and the way we feel about our bodies and ourselves controls every aspect of our lives. I know this firsthand because I lost years of my life to being locked up in body jail with no way out.

Since 2006, I have been on a transformational journey to heal my body from a variety of health issues. I have changed the foods I ate, the environment I created around food, and worked to transform every other area of my life. As changed the types of foods I ate, I began to see how when one piece of our lives is operating in dysfunction, this affects everything because our body is a system. This made me even more determined to bring balance and pleasure to other areas of my life, including my relationship, friendships, hobbies, spirituality, and career.

However, even though I began to eat whole foods and cut out the processed crap, I still wasn’t happy with my body. I was at a complete loss. I was eating real food and working out 6 days a week. And yet, I still struggled with excess weight and a lack of muscle tone. What was I doing wrong?!

Then I began to look deeper at my relationship with food. As I started deconstructing this, I saw how my environment around food hadn’t changed. I was an emotional eater and I was still using food to soothe stress.  I wasn’t eating the right balance of foods for my body. And even though I was eating whole foods, I was doing it in a way that was still causing digestive distress. 

Then I had my epiphany. And it changed everything.

After 28 years of hating my body, dreading seeing myself in the mirror, and feeling like a complete health fraud, I found the root of all of my issues with food: I didn’t believe I was worth it. 

The truth was that I didn’t believe I was worth taking care of.  This sounds a bit depressing, but this belief went so deep into my core that it impacted every aspect of my life and was manifesting itself in the way I ate. Once I addressed this, everything else clicked into place. 

Ten pounds? Gone!

Beautiful biceps? Hello!

Thriving relationships? You betcha!

Feeling strong and empowered about my body and my life? Hell yes!

My only regret? That I had spent so many years feeling lost, helpless, and wishing that things would be different.

I became a holistic health coach because I believe in empowering women to take charge of their eating habits, their bodies, and their lives.  Being healthy is about more than simply eating the right foods and getting enough exercise. Your health is a system and I’m here to help you change it.

And, when we find ourselves feeling exhausted, burned out, stressed, and unsatisfied in our lives, this affects everything as well. After years of professional development, personal research, and self-discovery, I finally found the tools and knowledge I needed to change my life and I’m here to help you change yours. 

My intention is to help you gain clarity around your goals, take specific, small action steps, and create transformational change that will not only impact your health and your body, but every part of your life. With my background in psychology, women’s health, life coaching, as well as holistic health, I have a unique approach in the way that I work with my clients. I understand why people get stuck in habits that don’t serve them and live lives that make them feel unsatisfied. And I also know exactly how to help you change it because I have been there. 

My Education and Certifications

  • Certified holistic health counselor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).
  • Masters in Organizational Development from Antioch University Seattle.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies from the University of Washington.

What can I do for you?

  • I work with smart, passionate women who need support and guidance around changing the types of foods they eat, their internal dialogue about food, and their relationship with their bodies.
  • In our coaching sessions, I help my clients to break down their internal barriers and understand exactly what is holding them back from reaching their health and wellness goals — and what they need to do in order to change it.
  •  I support my clients through every step of their journey because change and conquering our internal “gremlins” can be scary, uncomfortable work. However, with the right guide, this work is also exhilarating and life-altering.
  • In my coaching, I focus on helping you to create pleasure and balance in all aspects of your life. We will talk about food and health, but we may also talk about your relationships (social or romantic), hobbies, career, finances, or your physical environment. Our lives are a system and when one area is out-of-balance, this tends to show up in other areas as well.
  • I am not a nutritionist, dietitian, or personal trainer so I will NOT create individualized meal plans, talk to you about restricting calories, or advise you to increase your cardio workouts. In my experience, none of these behaviors ever helped me to tone up my body, change my relationship to food, or to feel more empowered. I have a hunch they won’t help you much either.

The Catalyst

Sometimes all we need is a little push and support to get started. This package works best for someone who is struggling with one specific area of their health and just needs a little guidance. You get:

  • Two 45-minute sessions (via phone or Skype) scheduled over a three-week period.
  • In our first session, we will dive deep into one or two targeted areas and then emerge with a precise plan to help you take action!
  • Two weeks later, we will follow up with your second session to evaluate your progress, answer any additional questions, and adjust your course as needed.
  • This package includes free email support during the three-week period so you can contact me as needed.
  • Total investment: $399

The Trailblazer

You’re smart and driven, and you know that if you could just take better care of your body and your health, everything else would fall into place. This package works best for someone who is passionate about making sustainable changes in their life and getting lasting results. You get:

  • Four 45-minute sessions (via phone or Skype) scheduled over a two-month period.
  • In each session, we will spend time addressing your particular health goals, challenges, and getting to the root of the issue.
  • After each session, I will follow up with specific steps for you to take as well as worksheets or handouts as needed.
  • You also get free email access to me during the two-month period so you always have someone to contact for information and support.
  • Total investment: 2 payments of $375

The Firestarter

Changing our health, our food choices, and our relationship to our bodies takes a little time. This package works best for someone who is ready to take a deeper look at the barriers that have been holding them back and is ready to make permanent and lasting changes. You get:

  • Six 45-minute sessions (via phone or Skype) scheduled over a three-month period.
  • In each session, we will spend time addressing your particular health goals, challenges, and getting to the root of the issue.
  • After each session, I will follow up with specific steps for you to take as well as worksheets or handouts as needed.
  • You also get free email access to me during the three-month period so you always have someone to contact for information and support.
  • Total investment: 3 payments of $350
