It's time for another green juice! In January, I became addicted to juicing and it's been exciting to connect with all of you on a similar juicing journey! I've gotten several emails from folks who were inspired by the juicing posts so this is something I will continue to keep up. (If you have recipes or photos to share, please share them with me over on the Facebook page or on Twitter.)
Today I have a special juicing video to share with you that includes a special (unplanned) guest appearance from my cat. And, for anyone that's curious, you'll also get to see my Hurom Slow Juicer at work. Let's get juicing!

Beautiful! I've always bit intimidated to try juicing bell peppers. Does it add much flavor to the juice?
ReplyDeleteIt does add some flavor to the juice. It basically just tastes like liquid bell pepper. The first time I ever juiced a bell pepper I had it alone, which was a huge mistake! I definitely like it in a combo juice better. :)
DeleteThanks, Sonnet! I just got a juicer and I love it!! Do you have any recipes for the pulp?
ReplyDeleteI haven't created any recipes for the pulp, but I did find this one that I've been meaning to try: http://vegweb.com/recipes/juicer-pulp-burgers-gluten-free
DeleteIf you try it, let me know how it goes! :)
I do use my pulp in a variety of ways: I always freeze if I can't use right away, then I add veggie pulp to pasta sauce, chili etc. Fruit pulp to baking. And I have make veggie crackers/bread from veggie pulp. Take pulp & mix with either ground flax seed or chia seeds about a TBSP or 2, add a bit of water & mix together. Spray grapeseed oil on cookie sheet then spread mixture to desired thickness. Sprinkle with desired spices (I like cayanne pepper & a bit of sea salt). Bake at 200F till slightly brown or desired crispiness. Enjoy
Delete@Becky - I thought the same thing initial but I went for it anyway. I was quite surprised! I actually liked the kick it gave the juice.
Delete@Sonnet - Great recipes!
Its looking great but i really don't know how would be it in taste! i didn't try bell paper in juicing not even food most of the time yet so just thinking how it would be taste like but i will surely try this once!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, your new website picture is absolutely stunning! The video is great...it feels so much more personal to see you in your element. Green juice is the best and later this week, I hope to make some crackers with the pulp in my dehydrator. I'll report back.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dawn, that's so sweet of you. I wasn't sure if I liked the photo myself so I'm still testing it out. So glad you liked the video. And definitely report back about the crackers! Would love to know the recipe! :)
