Because I love you. Because your health is important. Because it's the holidays. And because the nice people at Hurraw! are absolutely awesome...
I'm proud to be giving away three sets of Hurraw! Balm to three lucky readers!
I first tried Hurraw! Balm this summer when I received one in my Vida Vegan Con goodie bag and I've been using it daily ever since. Here is what I love about their lip balms:
- Hurraw! Balms are certified organic, raw, vegan (containing no animal products), cruelty-free, fair-trade, gluten-free, kosher, and contain no GMO's. (Does that list amaze you the way it amazes me?)
- They are handmade in small batches and are infused with real seeds, pods, fruit zests, barks, and roots for flavor and natural color.
- All of their ingredients are ones that I can pronounce and would use in my own kitchen, such as: coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil, peppermint leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, raw chocolate, and vanilla beans.
- Hurraw's oval tube is much more comfortable for application than a typical round tube.
- None of their balms contain petroleum, preservatives, or artifical flavors.
If you were around last month for my Beauty Food Friday posts, you'll remember my mini lecture that switching to natural, organic beauty products is one of the best ways to decrease cheimcal-exposure. Everything that you put on your skin gets absorbed into your bloodstream and most lip balms are made with petroleum jelly (a bi-product of oil drilling).
Hurraw! Balms currently come in 18 yummy flavors (like chai spice, vanilla bean, and grapefruit) and they are shipped in super cute reusable tea bags. If you order through their website and are sending these as gifts, they will even include a free gift message! I seriously love this company.
Back to the giveaway! Enter to win your own set of Hurraw! Balms by leaving a comment below before Saturday, December 3rd at 4 pm Pacific Time telling me one thing that you're going to do this week to improve your health. Winners will be chosen at random and announced on Sunday.
**Please note that this giveaway is already closed. Thank you to all that entered! You can see the winners here.

Yummy :) I'm going to take a long, long walk in this unseasonably warm November weather. Better cherish it before it disappears for the next few months!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try these!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go for walks
I'm going to walk around NYC - no matter how cold it is - when we go this weekend to see a play. And then I will improve my patience by waiting for a table at Candle 79. And if that doesn't work, I'll take another walk over to Candle Cafe and eat there. Lots and lots of walking this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am cutting out all soda and starting a 3 mile walk a day.
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing these and want to try them! This week I am giving up coffee (*sob*)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to stop eating pumpkin pie and start eating vegetables again!

Sounds great! This week will be really busy at work, so I have tons of healthy food I made this weekend so I don't have to resort to snacks. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great organic balm. Better than burts bees!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to limit my caffeine intake. It won't be easy, but I'm hoping it will help my headaches and my wallet.
ReplyDeleteI am going to exercise at least 4 times this week... to burn off all the thanksgiving food and desserts! Good lord did I eat a lot!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to return to the gym after having taken a ... (gasp) ... month long break
ReplyDeleteLove this, thank you! Well, I'm doing a lot of things, but this week I'm adding 30 minutes of rebounding on my mini-trampoline to my regime.
ReplyDeleteI love a good chemical-free lip balm, but they are hard to come by. This week I am stepping up my workouts and adding an additional day at the gym.
ReplyDeletei'm going to try to get over this cold by sleeping as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteI've heard so many good things about this balm!
ReplyDeleteThis week, I'm making a real effort to drink more water, starting with a glass first thing in the morning. It isn't as bad as I thought!
I'm going to sleep more! This sounds silly but I just discovered that going to bed at 10 and waking up at 5 gives me enough time to get everything done and get an extra hour of sleep (as opposed to 12:30 to 6).
ReplyDeleteI love the Hurraw balms! Mmmmmm
ReplyDeleteThis week I'm making a point to eat miso soup for breakfast (love starting my day with macrobiotic meals).
What a great contest idea! :)
ReplyDeleteThis week I am going to re-start my hot yoga classes, which are LONG overdue!
Cheers,
SL

I am upping my intake of green smoothies and good fats this week (oh and not to mention eating lots of wheat, gluten and milk to "prepare" for a food intolernace test...).
ReplyDeleteThis week? Green juice every morning.
ReplyDeleteThe balms look great.

Drink more water! I have been slacking in that area.
ReplyDeleteI've been dying to try Hurraw balms and would love to win! My goals this week are to load up on h2o and greens, lots of greens, and lots of rest. Need to get back into my healthy groove through these testing holiday months!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to try Hurraw balms for a long time now! I love all of the delicious flavors! I love even more that all of the ingredients are well known, not things you can't pronounce.
ReplyDeleteThis week I am going to start making fresh smoothies with fruits, spinach, kale and my own mixes of chia seeds, soy protein powder, flax seed and wheat bran. I just bought a new single serve on-the-go smoothie maker, so I'm pretty stoked to start using it!
This week I started juicing raw fruits and veggies and will start my new yoga classes!! I'm so excited to get back in shape!!! Being a vegan myself I'd love to try some yummy lip balms that are animal friendly ;-)
ReplyDeleteSadly, almost a year later, I'm still trying to get this one thing right: drink more water. This week I've added hot lemon water before breakfast to help this goal along!
ReplyDeleteMaking kale smoothies!

ReplyDeleteI'm going to add chia seeds to my green smoothies this week to get some extra good fats!
ReplyDeleteI just got a treadmill yesterday, and I am determined to run every day! I haven't exercised in so long, so I am very excited to get back into shape! :)

ReplyDeleteJust found this blog on Foodgawker, and a bit of a balm addict...
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I'll be spending my anniversary with my hubby. Spending time with loved ones is good for your health!!

I too saw this on Foodgawker....
ReplyDeleteSince I'm the cook in the house, I'm going to try and cook with more veggies and snack on fruit and yogurt instead of potato chips (which are up to $5 at my store - too high!). Earlier this week I even made a black bean veggie burger and my husband was surprised at how good it was :) he had never had a veggie burger before - I had my first one in NYC with some amazing sweet potato fries.

I bought a week unlimited yoga pass at prana power and I am going to go everyday to de-stress and rebalance! Any maybe make your delicata squash recipe for sunday dinner.

This week I plan to cook some veggie meals and hit the gym for running and weights... and maybe a yoga class, too!
ReplyDeleteThis week I plan on eating meals made completely out of vegetables and fruit, and having at least one raw vegan dish a week!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try them.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I'm going to do this week to improve my health is try juicing fresh organic vegetables. I found a recipe online that looks tasty and contains 1 bunch Kale, 5 large carrots, 1 large cucumber, 1 large granny smith apple, 1 large lemon, and a thumb sized piece of ginger.
Thanks,
James

Awesome! It's so difficult to find vegan lip balm, and inevitably when I do, it gets lost in a pocket or a desk drawer or an obscure zippered corner of my backpack. This week, I'm keeping up my return-to-running schedule - there's no better preventative for the holidays like feeling strong and healthy.
